Zofran Lawsuit News Update - New Zofran Birth Defects Lawsuit Filed in Pennsylvania

Birth Defects Lawsuits Continue to be Filed Over the Off-Label Use of Zofran

Thursday, March 05, 2015 - A new Zofran lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Pennsylvania against the drug maker GlaxoSmithKline. Similar to other Zofran lawsuits, this claim asserts that GSK knew of the danger of Zofran birth defects yet marketed and promoted Zofran for use to treat morning sickness. Because the company never warned doctors or the public about the risk of Zofran birth defects, the plaintiff in this lawsuit says she took the drug believing it was safe. Her two children were born with congenital birth defects after being exposed to Zofran during the first trimester of development. The plaintiff attributes their congenital heart defects, failure to thrive and other birth defects to Zofran. The case is Cheri Flynn vs. GlaxoSmithKline LLC.
